Team Langer

About image
Team Langer was created in 2018 by Nick Langer and his daughter, Ellery. Ellery is the inspiration of the team; Nick is just a means of transportation. Inspired by a father/son duo, Nick ventured into the sport of triathlon in 2000. When Ellery was born in 2012 and diagnosed with cerebral palsy, it was the same duo, Dick and Rick Hoyt, that inspired Nick to pursue Ellery's inclusion in similar events. Ellery participated in her first triathlon in 2016 at the Pardeeville Triathlon, thanks to the support of myTeam Triumph. After acquiring their own racing cart and equipment for Ellery (through the Hoyts), Team Langer was created. Their mission is to raise awareness of inclusion of people with disabilities, while at the same time helping other families impacted by childhood disabilities by collecting funds through charitable events, sponsorships, and donations.

Team Langer's mission is to raise awareness, acceptance, and assistance for special needs families. We raise awareness and acceptance through our racing platform. Every year, Team Langer uses funds raised to help families experiencing tough times with special needs. With your help, we can help more families, and have a greater impact on people's lives.

I am so honored and privileged to be a part of Team Langer. I have known this family for several years, having met them during my work as a school nurse. Nick and I are on the same triathlon team as well. The shared commitment and passion we have for our sport we also bring to this organization. I am so excited to see where this pursuit takes us and how many families we can positively impact through our fundraising efforts, connection, and community.

I live in Verona with my husband Sam and our dog, Donut. Professionally, I am a Human Resources Manager at an incredible company and enjoy staying active, traveling, spending time with family and friends, and checking out local breweries in my free time. Being incredibly inspired by Nick, his family, and the awareness they raise, I was thrilled when the opportunity to be an official part of Team Langer presented itself.

Enjoys playing and watching many sports but now mostly watching my girls play Basketball, Softball and Volleyball.
